Contur® Modular System Scaffold from Archbold, Ohio-based Bil-Jax, Inc. allows contractors to fit scaffold right up to structures with complicated or unique shapes. Traditional frame scaffold is usually limited to configurations based on 90º angles.

The Contur Modular System Scaffold rosette is designed with eight slots ─ four which allow connection at 90º and four elongated slots that provide “automatic angles” allowing members to be connected at any angle between 30º and 60º. The rosette is designed to allow the posts to nest together during transportation and storage, requiring less storage space and minimizing movement in shipping.

The new Contur design was developed using advanced design tools such as solid modeling and CAD / CAM. This allowed the performance to be modeled on the computer, resulting in a high performing joint configuration.

Contur Modular System Scaffold uses diagonals in compression and tension and can reduce the amount of scaffold components needed by as much as 30% in certain applications.
